My name is Dustin Novacek and I am a motion designer dedicated to creating engaging experiences through the power of motion. My motion design journey began late into my college career. I was already established in the business program at my institution and I knew something was off, I did not enjoy the business degree curriculum as a whole. I decided to take a beginner video production class and that’s when I fell in love with crafting visual stories through the power of footage and video editing. I worked as a videographer for a record label where I would shoot and edit footage of musical performances. After a few years of being a video producer to tell stories, I decided to transition into motion graphics and work behind the scenes. After a while of focusing on building various projects intended for video I wanted to do something else, and that’s when I discovered the world of micro-interactions and Lottie Animations.
